    Claire Griffiths - General Manager


    Claire has been at Brookhouse from almost the start, firstly part time and quickly having realised her vocation, progressed to full time instructor. With 28 years experience of teaching all ages and abilities, she has a particular interest/skill in Dressage. Claire has recently taken on the role of administering multiple college diplomas for some twenty City & Guilds Horse Care students, with great success.

    Competition Record

    • Many wins at pony club level, especially mounted games.
    • Show jumping with various ponies
    • Finalist at British Dressage Championships ... Stoneleigh with ‘Mac’
    • Personally trained her own horse, Andalucian stallion Trovador 1V(stable name ‘Sol’) to Prix St George level

    Qualifications

    • POCS
    • Equine specific first aid
    • CRB checked
    • Qualified assessor for city and guilds

    Claire can also give you specialised dressage lessons. These can be tailored to suit your individual requirements or ambitions, to assist with competition preparation or to develop your understanding of dressage. This can be on your own horse if desired. Claire also mentors candidates taking UKCC and BHS exams up to level 4/stage 4 plus.

    Kate Turner - Yard Manager


    Kate has been a part of “Team Brookhouse” for the last 20 years. Initially she joined the team as a weekend helper, and progressed to Yard Manager in 1998. Kate is full time at Brookhouse, and whilst her direction and passion has been focused on the care and management of the horses, she is also a very capable and popular instructor.

    Competition Record


    Kate has a successful competition background which began on her own horse, 16.1hh warmblood Kiri, and is now continuing on our own resident Haflinger Roma.

    • Many firsts/placed rosettes in Dressage with both Roma and Kiri
    • Trail Blazer Dressage finalist and placed in final rounds with Roma
    • Showing/Turn out/Veteran success/in hand…. Placed as regional championship with Kiri
    • Inhand showing with Roma. 1st place on 1st outing.
    • Combined training placed 5th 1st time out with Roma.
    • Success with regional ‘dressage anywhere’ competition at home with own Roma.

    • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in working horse management
    • Currently working towards a higher level 2 certification in equine care

    Corrine McLoughlin-Greening - Head of Instructing


    Corrine learnt to ride at Brookhouse Farm more than twenty years ago. Having trained as a primary school teacher, she decided to follow her first love of horses, and embarked on an equine career. Corrine travelled to Australia and worked on a racing yard, she then returned to the UK where she worked for the Warwickshire Hunt. Now an important part of "Team Brookhouse" she is our full time head of instructing.

    Competition Record

    Corrine has recently started competing on her own horse, with ongoing success across dressage, show jumping and cross country.

    Own Horse Details

    • Dee Dee, Warmblood Bay, mare, 16.3 hh 10yrs, Show name ‘Devil woman’
    • Kracker, Shetland pony, 6 yrs old, produced by Corinne herself with many successes in the show ring!
    • Prince, unbroken cob gelding who Corinne is producing and bringing on herself.
    • Success with regional ‘dressage anywhere’ competition at home with our very own Hendricks.

    Corrine has a particular interest in teaching less able riders, she hopes to start a RDA centre at Brookhouse for disabled riders in the near future. Corrine offers regular jumping clinics and offers a multitude of knowledge and experience in all fields.
